Wow, so much has happened since last week. For starters… we planned our Asheville trip and booked a place to stay! This was a HUGE accomplishment and a big weight off of our shoulders. Jordan also contacted Lady Passion of the Coven Oldenwilde in Asheville to speak with her during our trip. It all worked out really well. While doing our research we also discovered a shindig occurring on October 15th and have scheduled a day trip to film some b-roll once we get permission from the organizers. We were even planning to shoot our campaign video on Sunday to help promote our film on Indiegogo, but hurricane Hermine had other plans, so that has been delayed a week due to issues regarding equipment pick up. This actually allows us more time to plan ahead for our video while we get to work on pre-production, so in the end it actually still works out well. The only issue that may come up will be having time to edit the video before the campaign launches, but even if we’re in the editing lab for several hours, it will get done. Just have to roll with the punches when Mother Nature says otherwise, even though for a different film my crew did venture out during a hurricane to get footage from the storm and edited it the night before it was due. In our current crew though everyone has contacted their potential experts and should all have responses along with our questions to post to our blogs before Monday. I am very excited to narrow down who will be featured in our film, as everyone we have contacted thus far has been incredibly nice and has been happy to speak with us about their experiences. Every film encounters its own problems and setbacks, but despite a few bumps in the road we are staying on track and will continue to push ahead.
