Even though Hurricane Hermine delayed the Modern Craft crew, this past Sunday we had our first day of filming for our Indiegogo campaign video. We started at 3:30pm with set decoration, light setup, and camera prep. All of us filmed a brief segment on our intentions for the film as well as why we are asking for help with all of the costs we will be encountering throughout the semester. Once we were done prepping the set, we shot everything and wrapped around 7:15pm. Everyone in the crew took their headshots against our backdrop for consistency, and they all turned out really well. I’ve been editing the video throughout the week with input from Jordan, Alan, and Devon. Yesterday the final cut was made and the video is now up and running on Vimeo to be linked to Indiegogo once we officially launch our campaign. This has been a hectic week between editing and trying to schedule our expert interviews along with time to go out and get b-roll. Devon, Jordan, and Alan also have some very cool Wiccan subjects to speak with for our film, so I’m happy we got them to include in the documentary. The only thing we really need to hunker down on and schedule is vox-pop which we are looking to do within the next couple of weeks. With Asheville approaching, we are planning to do some with residents there along with residents here in Wilmington. We have our talent releases ready to go, and Devon has contacted the city of Asheville to make sure we are clear for filming. A lot is happening but it is so exciting to see things coming together. We are all stoked about Asheville and can’t wait for our weekend of filming there.
