It’s almost time to film our first interview subject, and it’s going to be good. On Friday September 30th the crew of Modern Craft will be traveling to Asheville to speak with Lady Passion of the Coven Oldenwilde. Everything seems to be on track in terms of our massive equipment request being sent and final check-in information being confirmed for the cottage where we are staying. Our preproduction presentation this past Monday went well and we got some awesome tips from the class as well as a way to update our budget in terms of rental costs and not the total costs of everything. Updating the budget may take some time but I have found a website that rents cameras and other equipment, so I plan on helping Devon work on it within the next few days. This week I also started editing our b-roll from downtown since our edit is due on Monday, and the shots look great. When Jordan and I wandered over there, we were lucky enough to have a full moon in the sky, and it projected this beautiful glow on the river and the usually dark alleyways. We also got a quick shot of the moon itself that shows the shadows on the moon, however we were unable to get the moon and a building in the same frame as the contrast between the two would not cooperate. Along with some b-roll from our campaign shoot, I think our cut that we have ready by Monday is going to be a good one. Alan is preparing music and will have samples for me tomorrow to decide which one I feel has the best vibe for the direction we want to go. This is an incredibly busy week for us all, but in the end all of this hard work will pay off and Modern Craft will show off everything we put into it.
