Time to Start Filming

Well, hurricane Hermine last week prevented the crew of Modern Craft from being able to pick up equipment, thus we couldn’t film our campaign video on the original intended date. So finally this Sunday we are officially beginning production with the shooting of our video. Yesterday we picked up equipment and have it ready to go for tomorrow at our filming location. This week Devon spoke with Tony Brown from the North Carolina Piedmont Church of Wicca and got confirmation from him that he would be willing to sit down and speak with us for an interview. We were all very happy to have him come on board as he is someone we have had on our radar since the beginning. Because we were unable to shoot last weekend, we got a huge head start on our pre-production presentation and went over what everyone needed to do for that. Everyone seems to have their sections almost done, so we will more than likely be implementing that information into our powerpoint over the course of this week and have it ready for us to go over during our normal weekly meeting that we’ll have next Sunday. Once we film everyone’s blurbs tomorrow, I’m going to immediately get the footage onto my hard drive so I can start editing the video together for Indiegogo. I really enjoy editing and am looking forward to finally having something to create. We are also planning to sometime in the near future go downtown and get a ton of b-roll footage since we did some location scouting last week, so the ball is really rolling now and soon we will have our very first rough cut. Basically there’s a lot going on but there’s always still oh so much to do.
